Advance Wars is turn based strat not RTS. I never played Battalion Wars but I’m pretty sure that’s strat not RTS as well.
For the Wii i recommend Pikmin and Pikmin 2 (NGC). Classic games that are both excellent. I can’t express how awesome Pikmin is. I just finished Pikmin 2 myself about three months.
You have good selection but may I also recommend Overlord for the DS. Overlord was a great RTS for the XBox.. basically it was Pikmin but evil. And now it’s going to be on the DS and Wii.
Overlord is not released yet and Pikmin is a gamecube game. There aren’t good RTS games on DS/Wii. There SHOULD be. They are both excellent platforms for it and obviously Nintendo knows how to do it (see Pikmin) it just hasn’t happened yet. If they release Pikmin 3 on the Wii and they will eventually pick it up day 1. Pikmin is an awesome series. One of the best and most fun console RTS.

what is the most important component(s) on a video card for RTS games?
mostly when there is a lot of animations like ship battles in AoE3 or meteors in WC3 or 800 elephants in AoE2?
would it be the pixel pipelines? video card memory? processing power?
RTS animations depend more on good dual core processor than the processor in graphics card. Go with core2duo and its performance is great. For graphics all you need to consider a 512mb graphics card with PCI express slot.

I would have to say the RTS with the best gameplay and AI and the one I most thoroughly enjoyed is Company of Heroes. The Dawn of War series are good too. Bleh, same company makes both those games.
Although I am a C&C fan, Command and Conquer: Generals and it’s expansion was actually pretty good. Better then C&C: Red Alert 2.
Endwar is a really really good game. It’s very nerve wracking to play online.

Why would you play an RTS with a controller. mouse is way more accurate and faster.

Chapter 1 was created back in Jan 6 of 2008. The Story isn’t that good and niether is the quality of Chapter 1 at least. Even though Chapter 1 wasn’t good in my opinion since it was my first time making a SupCom video, over 11,000 people downloaded Chapter 1. To much of my suprize I didn’t want to dissapoint my viewers so I made it my goal to finish the series.
As I created Chapter 2 (Jan 21 2008) of the series I found out a way to reduce the lag in the videos by recording in fraps at the ingame speed of -8. Then using the recording -8 speed video, I increased the framerate to produce a more smooth video as if my in game was running smooth. Most people believe I have a SUPER UBER PC, but thats not the case.
Chapter 3 (April 12 2008) was my first ever video in HD 720p. I was so astonished that I didn’t want to go back to Standard Format and neither did the fans.
Chapter 4 (August 28 2008) was much of the same.
